Wine & bacon pair up for bit of heaven
Svetlana, wine buyer at Five Points Bottle Shop, has put together a sensational wine seminar. Pairing up with Margeaux McLain of the fabulous wine and food importing company Grateful Palate, this months seminar will present a collection of artisan bacons from across of the US and premium shiraz selections certain to make your mouth savor every moment.
"Why bacon?" you ask. According to Dan Philips, founder of Grateful Palate and Danny Meyer, owner of serveral New York City restaurants, (both bacon fanatics and wine experts) this is why: "Bacon has all the flavors and qualities that compliment wine — smokey, salty, spicey, sweet, fat and texture. It's a fabulous backdrop for tasting wine."
